Main Street News

The members of Claremore Main St. Inc (CMS), a local nonprofit dedicated to maintaining a vibrant historic downtown district, held their annual meeting June 10, 2026 at the Claremore Main Street office. At the meeting the board and the organizational partners discussed a variety of matters for the upcoming 2026-2027 year, including the calendar of events which will soon be announced. Another feature of the meeting was the election of the board of directors who will serve during the 2026 - 2027 year which begins July 1. New to the board this year are Tamra Bissell, Monica Champ, Wendy Woody, and Jody Zimmerman. Continuing on the board will be Amber Brassfield, Kathy Glover, Mary Ann White, Rockell Sisco, Bridgett Hunt, Susan Gebhart, Patricia Lederman, and Lindsey Martin-Dow. The officers for the coming year are MaryAnn White (Pres), Patricia Lederman(VP), Susan Gebhart (Secretary), and (Treasurer) yet to be determined. We’re grateful to our current treasurer, Megan Douglas, for continuing to serve in this role through JulySpecial thanks go to retiring board members Matt Mize, Cassie Howell, Jamie Peckham, Megan Douglas, and Nancy Fitts for their service on the board and continued involvement with CMS initiatives. As a volunteer driven organization, CMS collaborates with the local business community, the City of Claremore, Claremore Economic Development and a variety of sponsors and friends of the organization to accomplish their mission each year.
